General Questions
This is a list with answers to our most commonly asked questions. Some requirements and options vary by travel itinerary and the species, breed, size and age of your pets.
Pets flying on planes must be able to qualify as carry-on luggage. We usually transport cats, young puppies, or small dogs (15-20 lbs). Large pets can only travel on a private charter with Love at First Flight. We will never transport a pet as cargo because it is dangerous for them.
Most airlines allow cats and dogs over 8 weeks of age, some require 16 weeks of age, to travel in-cabin. Other airlines allow pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds and other registered service animals. Contact us for more information on your options.
Your pet must have updated vaccinations and a health certificate issued by a vet within 10 days of travel. Some airlines or locations will also require other documents, such as a pet passport. Contact us for more information.
